The premier RFID tradeshow of the year – RFID Journal LIVE! – was held in Orlando, Florida, April 14-16, 2010, and Savi was there to catch up with colleagues, scope out the competition and get firsthand information on the latest trends and newest products in the industry.  If the number of attendees is any indicator, RFID Journal LIVE! was a huge success.  More than 200 companies attended RFID Journal LIVE! this year, including hardware and software vendors, system integrators and more. The center of the action was the conference floor, where attendees bustled among the vendors’ booths, while in side halls alongside the main hall presentations, discussions and other events were ongoing.

Savi filmed a number of interviews at the Savi booth to get people’s take on the conference and what they see in the year ahead for the industry. If you missed the show, you’ll definitely want to listen in on what people like Michelin’s Pat King, DASH7’s Pat Burns and RFID Journal’s Mark Roberti had to say.

Also at the show, Savi made several major announcements. One of these is that we have partnered with passive RFID vendor ODIN Technologies to offer the RFID industry’s most comprehensive RFID software platform, integrating passive and active RFID. Savi CEO David Stephens and ODIN CEO Patrick Sweeney sat down for a video interview to discuss the new partnership and how they are working together to change the industry.

Another highlight was the Oil&Gas Preconference sponsored by Savi Technology.  Steven Clarke and Terence Leung gave an insightful presentation, which will be available to watch online soon.

Savi sees a bright future for RFID, and hopes to work with you closely as the industry continues to deliver on the promise of RFID technology to enable lower cost, more efficient supply chains and increased operational productivity.
