Savi Named as an Innovation Leader in Machine-to-Machine Communications and Connected Devices

This is the seventh consecutive year in which a magazine from Specialty Publishing Co., the publisher of Connected World, has named Savi as one of the top 100 innovators of M2M and connected devices technology. At its 64th annual forum and expo, NDTA recognized Savi and 29 other companies with Corporate Distinguished Service Awards for their “significant contributions in the areas of logistics, transportation and Association leadership.” In 2003, Savi also became the first technology company bestowed with NDTA’s “National Transportation Award.” (more…)

Called the Portable In-Transit Tracking Unit (PITU), the new-generation device about the size of a digital video recorder connects communications among Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) devices, GPS location and SatCom systems, global cellular networks and sensors that detect environmental and security changes.
